SiteCost — Mobile Estimates for Building Contractors

Create a new account, sign in, sign out, edit your account details, or delete your account. You can also add a link to your business website. New accounts get a 30-day free trial, then N$ 250 per month or N$ 2 500 per year, paid by EFT and activated by the owner.

Take a photo of a building plan and upload it directly, or upload a PDF file from your device. SiteCost reads the plan and prepares an automatic take-off. Paid accounts can read 2 plans per month.

Use the live calculator and ten automatic take-off tools (roofing, masonry, paint, plumbing, electrical, boards, timber, cut lists, warehouse steel and whole building) to calculate the materials you need quickly and accurately on site.

Site works and earthworks, foundations and the floor slab are calculated in the Whole building take-off. The live calculator also has quick options for strip foundations, damp-proofing (DPC), concrete slabs and concrete mixes by strength — enter the volume and it shows the bags of cement, sand and stone you need.

The live calculator has quick options for floor tiling, wall tiling (bathrooms and splashbacks), floor screed and gypsum ceilings. The Boards & sheeting take-off works out ceiling and wall boards from board size, openings and waste, and the Whole building take-off works out floor areas, skirtings and cornices room by room.

Work out the electrical installation room by room: lights, switches, sockets and dedicated appliance circuits, with cables, conduit, boxes, distribution boards, breakers, earth leakage, earthing, outside work and data/alarm systems listed separately. You can upload an electrical drawing to count the symbols; anything unclear is marked for you to check. Every quantity can be edited before it goes into the estimate. The design must be confirmed by a registered electrician.

Open the material library with retailer prices, updated daily. Choose the store you buy from and your estimates are priced from that store.

Prepare an estimate with line items, markup and tax, add up to 12 site photos, and send it to your client as a PDF by email or WhatsApp, or as a link the client can open and accept.

After the client accepts the estimate, tap "Client accepted the quote" and SiteCost creates a material order for you. Remove or add materials, choose the store, change the status and send the order PDF yourself by email or WhatsApp. The approved estimate never changes. Find all orders under "Material orders" on the home screen.

When the client accepts the estimate, convert it into an invoice automatically. Track deposits, balances and payments.

Add your business name, logo, business address, website link and banking details so they appear on your estimates and invoices.

Add a link to your business website when you create your account, or later under Edit account. Your website prints in the From box on your PDF estimates and invoices, so clients can find you.

Plan site visits and tasks, write notes and set reminders that arrive on your phone, even when the app is closed.

Estimates are saved on your phone so you can work on site without signal, and backed up online so you can get them back on a new phone.

You can delete your account at any time. Tap "Delete my account" at the bottom of the home screen. Your account details, online backups and photos are removed.

Register your building supply business and set up your retailer profile, including your registration and VAT numbers, address and website. Every new retailer account starts with a 30-day free trial. Thereafter the subscription is N$ 500.00 per month, paid via EFT, and SiteCost activates your account once payment reflects. Each store you add pays its own monthly fee. You can update your details at any time under Edit account in your retailer dashboard.

Add a link to your store's website when you register as a retailer, or add or change it later under Edit account in your retailer dashboard.

Access a dashboard where you manage your stores, products, prices and promotions. Each store can have its own login.

Upload and display monthly promotions (pamphlets) for contractors to see on the home screen.

Manually update or change material prices whenever required. Contractors who choose your store are priced from your list.

Remove or update monthly promotions from the dashboard.

Receive the building plans contractors send to your stores. Retailers and each store can read 5 plans per month.

Retailers can delete their account when required.
